Trip to Camden, Maine

We're in the car, oh yay, I like car-rides.
Hey, we're still in the car, and it's an hour later. Mommy and Daddy need to be reminded that I can't sit in one place for too long. Let me try this: "All done car, all done car!" Hmmm. That doesn't seem to be working. I'd better try some screaming. Yeah, that seems to be working. Oh, and look, there's a McDonalds. How perfect. Let me scream just a little more, and I'll bet I can get some french fries.
Oh, I must have fallen asleep. But it's 2 in the morning now, and we seem to have stopped at this nice house where I can play for hours. Mommy and Daddy seem to think falling asleep is a funny game. We'll see about that.

August 17th
Things are going well. I have lots of stuff to play with here. Lots of gravel and rocks. Plus we went to the piers and saw birds. Then Mommy and Daddy took me to a lobster restaurant on the beach and I played in the sand for hours.

August 18th
Mommy and Daddy found me a lake to play in, very shallow and warm, with plenty of sand for making sand castles. I could do this all day.

August 19th
Ditto

August 20th
We went to the Union County Fair. It was the greatest. I saw pigs, goats, cows, oxen, sheep, chickens, geese, and roosters. Then I went on the teacups, and the car-go-round, and best of all, the train, many times. I even got to be the conductor—grinning ear-to-ear.

August 21st
There's water falling out of the sky, so Mommy and Daddy took me to the Owl's Head Transportation Museum, where I ran around screaming with glee while they looked at the shiny old cars. A good time was had by all. Then the water went away, so we went to a lobster restaurant on the bay, and I got to each potato chips. Mmmm.

August 22nd
Back to the lake. Barretts Cove. Did I mention that they have a merry-go-round there, and I like to push it around as much as I like to ride on it?

August 23rd
More lake, then in the evening, joy of all joys, we went back to the County Fair. My cup runneth over. Then back into the car, and, "all done, all done" and when my Mommy turned around to see what I was all done with, I was simply all done. Fast asleep for the next eight hours until we got back to N.Y.C.
